Charlotte Perriand (October 24th, 1903 - October 27th, 1999) was a French architect and designer. Her work was focused on creating functional residential areas. Perriand preferred to spend some time in the space she had to decorate before embarking on her design process. Her approach was to appreciate what the space was. Perriand became well known for her talent for playing with materials and styles throughout her career, especially with inspiration from Japanese craftsmanship.
