About the Poul Kjærholm PK-22 armchair:
PK-22 was designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1956, and was originally produced by E. Kold Christensen until Fritz Hansen took over the production of Kjærholm's furniture in 1982. The chair was actually Kjærholm's graduation project at the School of Crafts.
The PK-22 really got air under its wings when it received the Grand Prix award in 1957 for the Milan Triennial, which is the world's leading trade fair in design, where he subsequently made a name for himself in the international design market.
